Valentine's Day Massacre

Not really. Reading break is alllllllll over and it's back to the old crappy routine of sloggin through my damned prerequiste bullshit courses with out any motivation. Ieading break was pretty great though, like I mentioned before I did go camping on friday night out at Sombrio. It was really beautiful, nice sunny weather, and asskickingly big waves. We surfed for about three hours on friday I got a big fat ZERO on my wave count! It was just too gnarly (thats right, gnarly). The average wave height was around 6-7 feet with some bigger sets coming in at more like 8-9 feet, thats ceiling hieght in most rooms, a wall of water 300 metres long and 8 feet high coming at you lying on a surfboard on your stomatch. Sweet shit. needless to say i got WORKED! It was great though, on sunday I did manage to catch a good ride, that is 1 good ride in a total of six hours of sitting the ocean in feburary. Awesome. really it was worth it though, good excersize, my triceps haven't been this solid ever before. I guess thats what happens when all you do is paddle for six hours. Then on Sunday I went down town and helped out with the Lion Dancing cerimony for Chinese new year with my kung fu club, that was a really great experiance. There were about thirty people helping control the crowd, drum, and dance, then after we finished the cerimony we got red pockets with a little treat in them and that night,(my favorite! red pockets with treats!) we had a feast. What a feast! Last week's was nothing in comparison. This one was a 12 course banquet in a very traditional Chinese style, with some of the courses being: roast duck, lobster, cow's tongue, pig's knuckle(pigs have knuckles? I geuss so), Jellyfish, and the most interesting of the evening, ducks feet. there is little to no meat on a ducks foot. it was mostly skin and bones and cartilige. i would not really recomend it to anyone, I tried it though so thats pretty good right?
anyway thats about it. I had a midterm this morning and it wern't bad. I'm filling in for a bassist in the Island big band for the next few weeks on monday nights so that should be cool and I think I am getting a regular gig with some really good musicians at the Fireside grill starting soon. thats all. stay in school. peace.
